We are working under the assumption that you've checked your computer specs against the minimum requirements for this game (or have gotten this game to run on your computer at some point). Then, restart your computer and trying reinstalling fresh through Steam.įinally, is your brother playing on the same type of Mac? His hardware could be better suited to handle a game like LOTRO. If it's still not working, I would try to uninstall the game completely, then manually delete any related files (I'm not sure of the exact folder locations on a Mac, but I'm sure that information is readily available via google search). the onlything what happend was: it was downloading the files in the lotro launcher and there it gort stuck and nothing happend at al it sais: lord of the rings online (not responding). but than it worked fine when i downloaded it. I too have never heard of Steam crashing and deleting a game are you sure that it was actually deleted? It sounds like what is happening is LOTRO is trying to work around files that are already there from the last (failed) install. yeah that crashing from steam and deleting a game happend to me for the second time. If you already have/had a copy of the game installed through Steam or otherwise that is only partial or failed for whatever reason, that could be causing your problems. Firstly, LOTRO updates through its own launcher, not through Steam, so if you were installing something through Steam it must have been a whole new copy of the game.
